Lewis Carroll's beloved classic gets its most faithful big-screen adaptation in this lavish British production. But how does it fare as a movie in and of itself?

For obvious reasons, I kinda have the number "three" on the brain right now. And that means it's finally time for me to review Disney's The Three Musketeers, which once upon a time was my favorite movie ever. (Originally posted on Channel Awesome on January 26, 2015)
The Prisoner of Zenda is not only one of my favorite movies, but is also a rare occasion of a film adaptation being better than the novel it's based on. (Original version posted on Channel Awesome on November 17, 2014)
I've been reviewing a lot of films based on classic novels these past few weeks here on the INCspotlight, and here's another one: the 1994 adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women. (Originally posted on Channel Awesome on November 3, 2014)

Welcome to the INCspotlight, where I put the spotlight on classics of old that deserve to be remembered. (And while I'm in the process of moving my older blogs over from That Guy With The Glasses to the new Channel Awesome website, I'm taking the opportunity to revamp this review a bit and make it fit my current standard format.) I want to start this blog off by reviewing my absolute favorite movie of all time, The Adventures of Robin Hood, starring Errol Flynn. It wasn't the first Robin Hood movie ever made, and it sure as heck wasn't the last, but it's definitely the best. Also, it's one of the first movies I remember ever seeing, and I love it now as much as I loved it back then - heck, maybe more. |
