Heroes & Villains of the East - For my Asian Studies Master's Essay, I wrote about the decade-by-decade change in the portrayal of the Japanese in Chinese and Hong Kong martial arts films, and the political history and relations between the two countries that contributed to these portrayals. In 2010, a self-abridged version was published as a featured essay in the Japan Studies Review, an academic journal published by Florida International University's Asian Studies department.
