Homer Simpson and Comic Book Guy join forces to confront a dire threat - anti-comic book censorship! From October 1998, this is "Sense & Censorability!"
The story opens with Bart Simpson giving a "history" presentation about Benjamin Franklin, depicting his famous kite experiment as a weapon against his arch-enemy...The Kite-Eating Tree. This earns him a trip to Principal Skinner's office, who tells Bart that he's going to have to do a history presentation in front of the entire school - and Homer has to present with him. (And much to their disappointment, they can't talk about the guy who invented the toilet.) Homer's naturally freaking out, but Bart instructs Homer in the time-honored tradition of procrastinating before cracking open a book. They watch TV, make crank-calls, hit the Kwik-E-Mart and the arcade, and make one final fateful stop at The Android's Dungeon, the local comic book store run by Comic Book Guy. At the store, Homer discovers an issue of Histrionik Comics, which are gruesome history-based horror stories. (Sooooo...did The Simpsons actually predict Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter would become a thing?)
