The gangster genre goes to the dogs in Dog City, a TV special from Jim Henson.
Our story opens in a seedy Dog City bar called The Dog House, where Muppet regular Rowlf (Jim Henson) works as the piano player and plot expositionist. One night, a mysterious stranger arrives - Ace Yu (Kevin Clash), the Dog House's new owner after inheriting it from his late Uncle Harry. Ace plans to use the profits to fund a quarter-way home for orphans, as he was an orphan himself. (The fraction keeps dropping throughout the movie - eighth-way home, sixteenth way home, etc. - in one of the better running gags.) However, as the bartender Bubba (Jerry Nelson) warns Ace, Harry was murdered by crime boss Bugsy Them (Jim Henson) for refusing to pay protection money.
